Priorities
Clean Energy
Mission
Arizona Sustainability Alliance approaches the Clean Energy Priority in a hands-on manner. Instead of pure advocacy, we are applying sound research to the projects we focus on. Our objectives communicate our need to increase the use of clean energy in Arizona in ways that make our organization stand out. In a state where the majority of energy is produced by non-renewable resources, it is our goal to demonstrate successful applications of clean energy in the community.
Objectives
- 1
Promote sustainable energy by strategically implementing clean energy projects in the Phoenix Metropolitan Area.
- 2
Educate the public about clean energy in creative, innovative, and interactive ways through projects that also incorporate community health and beautification.
- 3
Create regular community events aimed at demystifying clean energy and promoting the overall growth of sustainable energy.

Clean Energy Programs
Green Career Pathways
This project focuses on accomplishing two essential tasks for the Arizona community: providing critical job skills to students from vulnerable communities and contributing to the global clean energy revolution. The Arizona Sustainability Alliance has partnered with Phoenix Union High School District (PXU), Maricopa County Community College District (MCCCD), the National Energy Education Development Project (NEED), G2 Energy Solutions, AES Defined, and other public and private partners to implement this program. This project will provide students with job skills in various clean energy sector pathways by partnering with Title I school districts, public and private partners, community colleges, and industry professionals.
Arizona needs to make smart investments in its most vulnerable populations to realize its potential as a clean energy leader. This project seeks to design and implement a highly cost-effective vocational training program that leverages industry, community colleges, and certification programs to develop high-quality clean energy professionals without the high price tag associated with the conventional career development route. The project will focus on creating workforce development training in the following areas:
- Energy Management
- Building Science
- Distributed Energy Resources Installation and Maintenance
- Adaptive Design for Resilience
Climate Action Project:
-
- Arizona Sustainability Alliance (AZSA) is proud to partner with the Climate Action Campaign (CAC), a nationwide coalition made up of environmentally focused organizations dedicated to fighting the climate crisis. This partnership strengthens our collective impact by aligning local efforts in Arizona with broader national initiatives aimed at protecting our planet and promoting sustainable, equitable climate policies.
- Together, AZSA and CAC are working to raise awareness and mobilize individuals about the alarming trend of climate regulations being weakened or reversed at the federal and state levels. These regulatory rollbacks threaten to undo years of progress in reducing emissions, protecting public health, and ensuring environmental justice for marginalized communities.
- To combat this, we are actively engaging the public through advocacy campaigns. These efforts include encouraging people like you to take action by signing petitions, writing personalized letters, making phone calls to elected officials, attending public comment sessions, and participating in local and national climate-related events. Every action, no matter how small it may seem, contributes to the larger movement to demand bold and immediate action on climate change.
- Our calls to action are timely and critical, often coinciding with key policy decisions, legislative sessions, or proposed changes to environmental protections. Staying informed is essential, and we invite you to connect with us on our social media platforms to receive real-time updates, action alerts, and educational content that empowers you to make a difference.
- Follow us today and be part of a growing community committed to safeguarding the environment for current and future generations.
